In January, we had the exciting opportunity to exhibit at Scotland’s Speciality Food Show in Glasgow, our very first trade show. As a young, family-run business, this was a big moment for us, and we were thrilled to showcase our range of oat drinks to an audience of industry professionals, retailers, and food innovators.
Throughout the three day event, we loved connecting with visitors, letting them sample both our original oat drink and a sneak peek of our soon-to-be-launched chocolate oat drink. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many people commenting on the smooth texture and refreshing flavour of our products. It was also a great chance to meet other Scottish food and drink brands doing amazing things, it was a very inspiring event to be a part of.
But the real highlight of the show?
Our original oat drink won GOLD for Best Drinks Product! 🏅
We were absolutely delighted. The competition was fierce, with so many high-quality entries from across Scotland, so to take home first place, especially less than a year since launching, was a huge boost for Three Robins. It’s a sign that our mission to create a healthier, more sustainable, and family-friendly oat drink is resonating with people.
Another standout moment was when our founder, Karen, took part in Nessie’s Den, an exciting and slightly nerve-wracking mock "Dragon’s Den" experience where selected businesses pitched their products to a panel of expert judges. The panel featured:
-
Emma Niven, Loch Leven’s Larder
-
Angus Bell, WM Morrison Supermarkets
-
Adam Hardie, Johnston Carmichael
Karen did an amazing job pitching Three Robins and received some fantastic feedback and encouragement from the panel. It was a valuable learning moment and an exciting chance to share our story and our values, from our focus on nutrition and taste to our commitment to sustainability.
We’re now more motivated than ever to keep growing, innovating, and sharing our oat drinks with even more people. Events like the Speciality Food Show are just the beginning, we’re planning to attend more markets and trade shows in the months ahead, so if you’re a fan (or curious to try us out), be sure to follow us on Instagram, @threerobinsdrinks, or sign up to our newsletter for updates on where we’ll be next.
A huge thank you to the organisers of the show, the award judges, and everyone who stopped by our stand, we left buzzing with ideas, energy, and excitement for what’s to come!
